Our Cabinet Painting Process
We follow a clean, multi-step system to ensure a long-lasting, professional-grade finish on every job.

1. Initial Quote & Color Consultation
We start with a free in-home consultation where we assess your cabinet material and layout, help you choose colors and finishes, and provide a detailed quote. We also review timelines and walk you through the entire process.

2. Labeling & Hardware Removal
All doors, drawers, and hardware are removed and labeled to ensure seamless reinstallation. We protect your countertops, floors, and backsplash with paper/plastic masking, and drop cloths.

3. Degreasing & Cleaning
Kitchens = grease. That’s why we thoroughly clean and degrease (Simple Green or TSP) every cabinet surface to remove buildup and ensure proper adhesion of primers and coatings.

4. Sanding & Surface Prep
We sand all surfaces using dust-controlled tools to create a smooth, even bonding layer. Small dents and damage are filled and sanded flush for a uniform result.

5. Priming with Adhesion & Stain-Blocking Primer
We use high-bond, stain-blocking primers from Envirolak, Renner, or Insl-X, depending on cabinet type (oak, maple, MDF, etc.). This ensures proper adhesion and eliminates bleed-through.

6. Cabinet Coating Application
Cabinets are painted with 2 coats using high-end coatings (Renner Wood Coatings, Sherwin Williams - Gallery Series or Envirolak). These are professional-grade, low-VOC coatings that cure hard, resist chipping, and give a smooth, durable finish — better than anything off the shelf.
We apply the coatings by:
-
Spraying (for all surfaces including doors/drawers and cabinet boxes)

Spraying is done in a controlled space with filtered ventilation for maximum cleanliness.

7. Reassembly & Final Touch-Ups
Once top coated, we reinstall all doors, drawers, and hardware with precision. We walk the space with you, inspect all finishes, and complete any necessary touch-ups.
